Breanna has a decade of experience building network-based initiatives across Hawai’i and with international platforms to advance sustainability, climate action, and community well-being. Her BR Strategies consulting work as a writer, facilitator, and strategist focuses on collaborative projects for social and environmental transformation in Hawai’i.
She previously served as the Director of Operations & Partnerships for Hawai’i Green Growth – a diverse multi-sector network committed to statewide sustainability goals – which the United Nations recognized as one of the world’s first Local2030 Hubs for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Breanna has worked with partners through various collaborations, including the 2022 O’ahu Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, Awakening Wisdom Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Volunteer Month Hawaiʻi, 2016 IUCN World Conservation Congress, Aloha Connects Innovation, and Honolulu’s Solid Waste Management Plan and Resilience Strategy. In addition, she serves as Board President for nonprofits Kanu Hawaiʻi, Hoʻāla Foundation for Education dba Awakening Wisdom, and Zero Waste Hawaiʻi.
Breanna was recognized by the Obama Foundation as one of two hundred emerging leaders for its inaugural Asia Pacific Leaders program and named by Pacific Business News as one of the “40 Under 40” business and community leaders in 2020. She was born and raised on Maui and is committed to lifelong work to ensure a thriving Hawaiʻi and island earth.
