Martha Hanson is a seasoned fundraising professional who enjoys writing donor-centered communications from grant proposals to campaign case statements. She draws from her work experiences at the Hawai‘i Community Foundation, University of Hawai‘i Foundation, and The Nature Conservancy of Hawai‘i among others to understand the needs of a wide variety of nonprofit organizations. With her decades of fundraising experience coupled with more than 15 years in donor relations and donor communications, she can craft language that invites donors and prospective donors to become a part of your organization’s story and build a better community together.
Expertise
I am dedicated to making the world a better place through my work. I am committed to community, communications, and continual learning. Fundraising has given me entrée to the full breadth of the nonprofit sector from the arts to the environment to healthcare and social service to education. I enjoy using the insight that I’ve gained from these experiences to make connections and build relationships with others who wish to make a difference as well. I am valued for my expertise, forthright style, and reliability. I thrive in an environment where brainstorming, collaboration, courtesy, and humor are mainstays.
My clients have included the YMCA of Honolulu, The Merwin Conservancy, and Hawai‘i Food Bank and Kua O Ka Lā Charter School in partnership with The FundDevelopment Group.
