Prana Consultancy combines my passion for social justice with my skills in program development, fundraising, strategic planning and general management. Since 2008, I’ve been a nonprofit consultant providing grant writing, community engagement, program management, festival production and strategic planning and writing services to a range of nonprofits. I have a special interest in arts, affordable housing and immigrant and women’s rights. These interests were shaped by my experiences as a Program Director at various arts organizations in NYC, as well as organizing and legislative work at a non profit affordable housing developer in Brooklyn.
My current consulting efforts focus on fundraising, grant writing, festival management, board development and volunteer and community engagement.
Previously, I served as General Manager of Circle East theater in Manhattan. In this role, I produced a festival of new works, toured productions and wrote grants in addition to communicating with the membership of 200 members and general administration. I also served on the board of a non profit working on Immigrant women’s issues that sought to understand the social and psychological forces impacting the health of immigrant women. As the Development Director of a affordable housing developer in Brooklyn, I balanced the day to day needs of a busy department with strategic long term planning for growth.
